CUPERTINO, CA - Symantec announced that it has acquired the assets of Revivo, which was in the process of shutting down. The company developed continuous protection software as its lead product line, but indicated that due to slow increase in market demand, their products would probably fare better as part of a suite by a larger firm such as Symantec. The deal closed on October 20, and twelve Revivo engineers were transferred to the Waltham, MA Symantec facility the following day.
